How ads work on Orbit

These are the commitments in our Privacy Policy, in short.

  • ✓

    Third-party ads are user-initiated

Ads from a third-party ad partner are ones a person can choose to watch, for example in exchange for Dust.

  • ✓

    Not in the way

Where ads appear, they will not hinder or degrade the experience. Most ads are Orbit's own.

  • ✓

    Messages are off limits

We never use the content of messages, direct messages or uploads to target ads.

  • ✓

    Data is not for sale

    We never sell your data.

  • ✓

    Analytics are ours

We do not use third-party analytics or trackers.

Questions

Before you write

Does Orbit show third-party ads now?

No. We have no ad partners yet. If that changes, they will be listed on this page.

How would a third-party ad reach people?

Only when a person chooses to watch one, for example in exchange for Dust. Nothing from a partner loads unless they choose to.

What would a partner learn about people?

When someone watches a partner's ad, the partner may receive device and browser information and their IP address, and may set cookies or similar identifiers under its own privacy policy. Where the law requires consent, we ask first. We never use messages, direct messages or uploads to target ads, and we never sell data. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Will I hear back?

Write to us and we will read it. We can't promise a reply time, or that an enquiry will lead to a partnership.
